The Global Youth Biodiversity Network (GYBN) is thrilled to announce the launch of our new podcast, "Nature's Crew: The GYBN Podcast"! This groundbreaking platform is dedicated to amplifying the voices of youth from around the world, providing a space to share their perspectives, stories, challenges, and demands.

"Nature's Crew: The GYBN Podcast" will feature a series of episodes, each focusing on different themes and topics relevant to biodiversity and environmental justice. This marks the first time GYBN has ventured into the podcasting world, creating an open and free space for youth to express themselves and engage in meaningful conversations about biodiversity.

About the Podcast:

Purpose: "Nature's Crew: The GYBN Podcast" aims to provide a platform for young people to freely express their views, share their experiences, and discuss their demands concerning biodiversity and environmental issues. By featuring diverse voices from all corners of the globe, the podcast seeks to foster a sense of global community and collective action among youth.

Format: Each episode of the podcast will feature a new guest who will discuss various topics such as education, intergeneration equity, transformative change, conservation challenges, success stories, policy advocacy, and personal experiences. The format will include interviews and story-telling segments.

Ground-Level Actions: This platform will allow youth from diverse backgrounds to share their actions on the ground. Listeners will hear firsthand how young people make a difference in their communities through grassroots initiatives, conservation projects, and advocacy efforts.

Availability: The podcast is accessible on major streaming platforms, including Spotify and YouTube. This ensures it reaches a broad audience and engages listeners from different regions and backgrounds.

First Episode Released:

We are excited to announce that the first episode of "Nature's Crew: The GYBN Podcast" is now available on Spotify! In this premiere episode, we hosted Swetha Stotra Bhashyam the Global South Focal Point (GYBN)

About the Global Youth Biodiversity Network

Founded in 2010, the Global Youth Biodiversity Network (GYBN) is a global coalition of young people

and youth organizations who have joined forces to lead, support, and accelerate a just and equitable

transition to a society that lives in harmony with nature. GYBN aims to raise awareness of the values of biodiversity among young people, empowering them to take action. The network’s objective is to support youth activities for biodiversity on both the national and regional levels by providing an international structure for exchange and coordination, capacity-building training, and political representation on the international level.

Over the last 14 years, the Global Youth Biodiversity Network has become a mature coalition of more than 700 member organizations and 60 national chapters and 3 regional chapters, representing a total of 1,25 million youth worldwide. Since 2012, GYBN is the main coordination platform for youth participation in the negotiations under the Convention on Biological Diversity (CBD).
